THIS FRAGILE NEST

Latest Publication

More personal, more political, more polemical than the author's earlier collection, the poems of This Fragile Nest coalesce around themes of time and change in both the human and the natural worlds - the vulnerability of all things.

"I reach an age when the weight of advancing years, the passing of time, the ever-closing prospect of death, begin to cloud these Norfolk skies.

I do so at a point when things I value seem increasingly under threat:

human decency, liberal democracy, the natural world.

These poems represent an attempt to find a haven of safe anchorage, a warm fireside of consolation, a slender butterfly of hope in the face of everything."

This is the second collection of poetry by this author that Bigblacklurcher Publications has published.
